![]() Some personal favorites include:ġ: Level 3 Rogue Thief, Variant Human with the Healer feat. I'd go for builds where their key contribution to the party comes online by Level 3. Spells can add mobility (expeditious retreat, longstrider), tanking (shield, maybe absorb elements), battlefield control (most likely fog cloud and web a rogue and a monk could fight well inside a fog cloud if needed, not sure about the moon druid at this level, but this might be just something you do when something ignores the moon druid and successfully engages with the squishies) and some buffing (eg mage armor on the moon druid) or even debuffing (eg tasha's hideous laughter), and of course a bit of utility (find familiar and other rituals). Bladesong will offer mobility and tanking (with spells adding more on top of that), no need for heavy armor so you can be stealthy enough to work as an all stealth party when that will be needed, can use cantrips and longbow from range if needed. First thing that comes to mind is a bladesinger (though I wouldn't think it's the only option that satisfies my prerequisites). So, to sum up, I'd go for stealthy, mobile and/or good ranged attacks, some tanking capability, and a touch of battlefield control. So I am thinking that I'd like some BC options on the character too. Ideally something that can act as a second tank if the druid needs the help at the same time.Įntangle is not a bad spell (I think of it as the worst of the good BC spells, though this is probably an exaggeration), but it probably wont be enough if battlefield control is needed (especially since the druid is supposed to do most of the tanking, so concentration wont be easy to break). And since your other two allies can be mobile, I'd suggest playing something mobile and/or with good ranged attacks too. Moon druids tank well at this level IME, so leaving the druid to tank alone might not be too bad. So that means stealth proficiency and rules out heavy armor at the very least. Oh and Happy Turkey Day!Assuming the one shot is more like a quick adventure (eg invade a small dungeon) as opposed to some kind of arena fights, then since all your allies can be (and they probably will be) stealthy, I'd advocate for a build with decent stealth. I picked a Warhammer because it is thematic but you don’t have to use a Warhammer to proc crusher because dao adds your proficiency in bludgeoning to one attack you make per turn. If he tries to get back in melee with you it does another 1d8 damage. This will do 1d8 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 1d6 damage and will push him 5 feet away. In combat, cast hex on the enemy, then hit him with booming blade. ![]() Warlock 2, dao genie patron, booming blade and a utility cantrip, hex and any other spells, fiendish vigor any any other invocation.Īny time you have less than 8 temp hit points outside of combat cast false life with fiendish vigor on yourself until you do. Stats: Stats: 15 (18) str, 10 dex, 14 con, 8 int, 10 wis, 14 chaįor Standard Array: 12 wis, 13 cha and in this case you might want to ignore eldritch blast completely and just throw darts or handaxes if you happen to need to make a ranged attack. ![]() Here’s a neat build with some fun synergyĬustom lineage, +2 str, darkvision, crusher feat (+1 str) You could also do a pretty wicked variant human artificer with crossbow master. For race I would choose variant human for a feat, Pole Arm Master or Resilient Con most likely. Oh and Happy Turkey Day!Do you roll for stats, point buy or standard point array? Any paladin would be a useful addition to that party. Hope to hear from some people soon! Hit me with your best, coolest, wackiest, or oddly synergistic ideas! I am aware that a moon druid or moon druid/barb would be super tanky - but I already have a moon druid in another campaign so I wouldn't mind trying something new. Would love to hear your thoughts on what would be an efficient build for a lower level one shot. I am not opposed to multiclassing for this. ![]() I would love to put something together that won't die to quickly, but also will be able to function. Our group already has a monk, rogue, and druid. I have a one shot coming up tonight, and naturally I have been stuck trying to throw something together. I am looking to pick some brains about level 3 builds. ![]()
